The Three Pillars of Grand Blue Combat

Grand Blue distinguishes itself from other Roblox anime RPGs by allowing your character to simultaneously master three separate combat systems:

1. Fighting Style: Hand-to-hand or technique-based movesets unlocked from NPC trainers (Brawler, Novice Swordsman, Trickster, Marksman). Check our Fighting Styles guide for exact NPC locations.

Stage 1: Anchor Town (Levels 1–29)

• Spawn & Tutorial: Complete the basic movement, blocking, and attack tutorial. You will earn your first few hundred G (Gold).
• The 25 G Marine Gate: Talk to the guard at the town exit gate and pay the 25 G fee to access the open island grounds.
• Unlock a Fighting Style:
  • Head to the docks on the right to learn Brawler for 250 G.
  • Or visit Shiro at the cliffs near the pond to learn Novice Swordsman for 250 G.
• First Guaranteed Fruit: Take Calvin’s Wizards Apprentice quest. Completing his training chain rewards a guaranteed fruit drop without spending Robux.
• Grind Route: Loop the Marine Captain and Bandit camps just outside the gates until reaching Level 28–30.
• Buy a Cutlass: Save 2,000 G from your quest rewards and purchase the Cutlass from the local smithy before leaving.

Stage 2: Clown Town (Levels 30–69)

• Arrival & Spawn Point: Interact with the Town Harbor Spawn Point immediately to set your respawn location.
• Story Quests: Speak to the Town Mayor to begin the circus rebellion storyline.
• The Johnny Loop: Accept Johnny’s Clown Officer repeatable bounty quest. Clown Officers spawn in clustered groups, making them ideal targets for AoE fruit skills like Bomb or Flame.
• Story Boss: Buggy the Clown: At Level 45+, challenge Buggy. Keep your distance when he detaches his limbs or throws explosive chop daggers. Defeating him rewards massive EXP and rare gear.
• Weapon Upgrades: If using swords, upgrade to the Willow Blade (8,000 G) or save up for the Katana (10,000 G).
• Secret Style (Trickster): Meet Loki at the Ferris wheel after defeating Afuaru the Hoarder to begin the secret Trickster style unlock chain.

Stage 3: Maple Village (Levels 70–100+)

• Quests & Dailies: Speak to Gus for high-EXP repeatable bandit clearing. Complete Nell’s errands, the Paper Route, and Kitchen Helper tasks for consistent gold and EXP.
• Marksman Trainer: Visit Captain Esopo on the rocky slope behind the village to unlock the Marksman style for 1,000 G if you favor ranged rifle combat.
• Preparation for World Bosses: Once you cross Level 80, equip high-durability gear and begin coordinating with server players for hourly World Boss spawns at XX:00.

1. Master the Perfect Block: Tapping the block key right before an incoming boss strike staggers the enemy, opening a 2-second window for a full combo string.
2. Beware of Open Water: Falling into the ocean as a Cursed Fruit user rapidly drains health. Always carry a wooden rowboat or recruit a player with the Half-Fish race to escort your sea journeys.
3. Save Skill Points for Your Core Fruit: When leveling up, resist distributing points evenly across every stat. Specialize heavily into Fruit Mastery and Stamina for mage builds, or Strength and Weapon Mastery for sword brawlers.
